Why do Dynamics 365 Implementations Fail?

Switching to a new ERP system costs millions of dollars, but many businesses don’t know how to handle the adoption process appropriately, resulting in a failed condition. Many organizations overlook critical processes like risk assessment, change management, and cost-benefit analysis.

The majority of the attention is directed toward lowering implementation costs, with the hope that the new system will magically improve the business’s operations and efficiency. As a result, projected benefits are not gained, and the organization loses trust in the system.

Myths about Microsoft Dynamics 365

When people fail with the power platform or Azure implementation, sometimes they also fail to recognize their mistakes. Therefore, the myths take place, and the same happened with Microsoft support services implementation and other services.

Microsoft 365 data in Azure Cloud is always available, so there is no need for backup

The Azure cloud backup is a huge, distributed physical data center that faces the same issues as your own data center. We had previously witnessed connectivity troubles, and the cause was a failing DNS.

Furthermore, while SharePoint and OneDrive both provide versioning to protect against accidental mistakes, what happens if these platforms are not available? IT organizations require total access and control over their data at all times.

Backups and restore allow you to recover business-critical data to another place, including on-premises, lowering the risk of business downtime, which affects revenue, reputation, and company productivity.

Microsoft implementation and support is expensive

Microsoft implementation and support might be affordable. The cost of deploying Microsoft Dynamics is determined by a variety of factors, including firm size, industry, and geographical location. When comparing ERP solutions, take into account the total cost of ownership (TCO). Microsoft Dynamics provides cost-effective benefits, such as license fees, hardware costs, maintenance fees, and training charges.

Many private firms delivers business migrations and integrations around the world, and their On-Demand services have a tremendous influence on enterprises. This one-of-a-kind Pay-As-You-utilize concept requires no obligations and allows you to only pay for the services you utilize. Their offering and unique solutions are suited to your individual requirements.

Microsoft 365 is a SaaS product, so it has all the data protection and security I need built-in

There are several methods that someone can use to target your Microsoft 365 data. Malware/ransomware can erase or encrypt files, and phishing is a serious threat to Microsoft 365 accounts. But the list is more than these 2 possibilities.

Finally, no software is completely safe from security flaws, and firms that use Microsoft 365 are at significant risk unless they have a genuine Microsoft 365 backup and recovery.

Microsoft offers high availability for Exchange online through Data Availability Groups (DAG), so I don’t need backup.

Microsoft 365 mailbox databases are all hosted in database availability groups (DAGs) and replicated in different data centers within the same region. The most common setup comprises four database copies across four data centers. However, certain regions have fewer data centers, with databases replicated in three data centers in India and two in Australia and Japan.

However, in all situations, each mailbox database includes four copies that are spread across several data centers, guaranteeing that mailbox data is safe from software, hardware, and even data center failures. Three of these four copies are configured to be extremely accessible. The fourth copy has been set up as a lagged database copy.

DAGs are a fantastic disaster recovery tool, but they aren’t designed for regular backup and restore scenarios where you might need to recover a specific email, attachment, or mailbox. The lagged database copy can only be stopped from being synchronized once every 14 days, after which any unintentional or malicious modifications or accidental deletions are applied to the entire database.

Furthermore, Microsoft states, “DAGs are not intended for individual mailbox recovery or mailbox item recovery.” Its objective is to provide a recovery mechanism in the unlikely event of system-wide, catastrophic logical corruption.”

Bottom Line

In the end, you are responsible for protecting your Microsoft Office 365 data. Data loss caused by human error, malware, ransomware attacks, or other IT disasters can have a tremendous impact on your company’s productivity, customers, and reputation. Furthermore, your company will almost certainly be required to follow the latest compliance rules; otherwise, there will be severe penalties.

Believing the lies or myths above may result in data loss and business downtime.

So, do not waste more time and let DHRP steer your way to the right method and techniques of implementation or point-in-time recovery. With our knowledge and expertise, we can help you stay protected and have your own backup, too.
